My Drupal Experience Continues - Day 2

Posted on June 27, 2010 at 1:06 pm

Yesterday was a great start. Today, I am hoping to setup my About page, download and setup the Twitter module and get my blog started (like watching the movie Titanic, you are probably aware of the outcome).

Simple Page Is Simple

Drupal comes standard with two content types: Page and Story.  So, all I need to do is add my content and we are good to go.  I head over to the Create Content section and click on page.  Having worked with content management systems before, I immediately recognized the need for a WYSIWYG editor.  So, I headed over to the Drupal modules repository and picked up Wysiwyg and CKEditor.  I enabled both and then checked off which options I wanted to show on my editor toolbar and I was good to go.  I went back to my page and added the content.  I had to setup some classes in my CSS to get the styles just right, but my About page turned out pretty well.

Ack! I forgot how bad the humidity is in Florida. At this point I would give my left leg for a nice comfy bed to sleep in.

Waiting in Houston, Texas for the connecting flight. I think an old man died on our flight... hope he didn't join the mile high club.
